MindGuyMD provides private-pay telepsychiatry for eligible adult men physically located in New Jersey. The primary focus is depression, anxiety, burnout, sleep problems, and major life transitions, with adult ADHD evaluation as a secondary service.
Who may be a fit
A bounded outpatient referral path
The referral path is designed for adults who meet the practice requirements and want direct, private-pay psychiatric evaluation.
Eligible adult men age 18 and older who are physically located in New Jersey for telepsychiatry visits.
Clinical telepsychiatry is private-pay. The practice does not bill insurance or file claims on a patient’s behalf.
Depression, anxiety, burnout, sleep problems, and major life transitions are the primary areas of focus.
Adult ADHD evaluation is considered as a secondary service within an individual psychiatric evaluation.
The care model
Direct physician care with a clear first step
Each initial evaluation is 60 minutes and conducted by Dr. Andres Vinuela, MD. The patient submits an intake first so the practice can review eligibility, clinical fit, and the appropriate next step.

- A 60-minute initial evaluation creates time to understand the patient’s concerns and context.
- Coordination with a referring clinician happens only after the patient provides written authorization.

When this is not the right pathway
The following situations are outside the practice scope. Do not imply that an outside condition is accepted through this referral page.
- Patients under 18.
- Patients who will not be physically located in New Jersey for a telepsychiatry visit.
- Active substance-use detox.
- Chronic pain prescribing.
- Emergency or crisis needs. Use the existing emergency guidance instead of waiting for a routine referral review.

How to refer
Keep the handoff focused and use the central practice inbox. Do not send patient information through an unapproved channel.
- Confirm that the patient appears to be an eligible adult man who will be physically located in New Jersey for telepsychiatry.
- Obtain written patient authorization before requesting coordination with the referring clinician.
- Send referral coordination questions only through the central practice inbox below.
- When appropriate, direct the patient to the clinical intake route for the patient’s own request.
